One Piece World Collectable Figure Vol. 1

This is a bit late as I was trying to find space to display..

I would have liked to call this set the set of Luffy's kins + friends sans nakamas but I couldnt, for Whitebeard is around & Capt Buggy isnt really much of a friend like Bon Kurei.

I would have liked to call this set the set of capers, but I couldnt, for Luffy & Ace aint in one.

Thus I wonder what is the theme behind this set..



Shanks was quite well done in this set, and there's Garp & Dragon who have little figurine time.

And I wonder how am I going to display the long list of preorders next.. YIKES!

Hai Hai Hai. Nakama Yukie. AGAIN!

ジョシデカ (Joshi Deka): lady detective

With Nakama Yukie + detective story. For sure I'll waste SPEND my Sunday on it!

Yukie plays Hatakeyama Kurumi, a one-track minded rookie detective fresh out of police academy armed with numerous marksmanship champion trophies but is practically useless in everything else. She gets paired up with a veteran (Sakura Hanako played by Izumi Pinko) who solved various cases but has a track record of making her partners go mental. So from clashes, fights (Hatakeyama gets thrown around by judo master Sakura), squibbles, they slowly understand each other and developed friendship.

Wonder y Hatakeyama is always in white while Sakura is in black. Probably to play up the contrasting characters.

Ryu Shi Won plays Pak Ji Won, a guy whose dad and Sakura used to be very close, and calls Sakura Ka-chan. He is one rare Korean guy I fancy so far.

The 2 joshi dekas gets wrapped up in a serial killer case and as the investigation department tends to be sexists, they were barred from the investigation initially but Hatakeyama and Sakura insisted on investigating on their own and slowly they reveal clues and leads to the identity of the serial killer and gets the whole investigation branch to stand by them.

OK, I'm biased. Detective plots are my nemesis. Good. (HAHA! Since I'm biased, no point stating more.)

I like how they protray home-alone Hatakeyama with a big bowl of rice and adds toppings to it.

And of cos, Yukie is funny!

五月天變形DNA [無限放大版] 演唱會

其實﹐是衝著露天演唱會而買票的。雖然阿信還是佔了30%。

還他媽的是OCBC 優先購票! 就是我沒有的!

唉! 幾經辛苦托RR的朋友買了票。雖然位置不是很好﹐就還OK啦。前面的男生下半場時跑掉了﹐所以視野還是不錯。

就臨時把場地從Padang改去國家體育場。興奮於終於在拆之前有機會去(雖然還是不知道幾時才正式拆﹐都談了幾年了!!?)。

但﹐應該是故意的﹐把場地拉到SHE的隔壁﹐難免一直在嗆聲。只差沒對換團員。

中午﹐老天又下雨了。而且是傾盆大雨! 露天﹐露天﹐場地應該全是泥巴! 買了雙拖鞋換了﹐還好﹐不然我的鞋子可以丟了。

早去是正確的。買週邊商品不用排隊。哈哈! 但就因為有差不多8000+15000人在隔一條街﹐晚餐還真是難解決。買食物排了有15-20分鐘﹐到處人山人海。

嚇死人了!

快到了票上指定的開場時間﹐回到國家體育場﹐卻發現觀眾還排在外面。就跟著排。走啊走啊地﹐天啊!繞了有半圈的人龍!



又被嚇死了!

終於7點半了﹐觀眾才得以徐徐入場。


放晴娃娃

欄杆上吊著放晴娃娃。是雨後放的還是早就放了(沒用咧!)? 拜辣椒等就有聽過(我們也在找﹐但只找到幾只放晴娃娃。可愛的說!

一踏入操場﹐雙腳就陷入泥巴中。是在噁心聲中熬到位子上的。

兩分鐘的煙火﹐但太靠近舞台所以多半被舞台遮住了。

是一場難忘的演唱會。我不是指演出。

演出有點大失所望。下午的雨把一些器材給淋濕﹐搞壞了﹐開場前還得臨時修器材﹐除積水。看得出五子有被影響到﹐心不在焉似地一直在趕場。也許也是我們被拖延入場﹐把時間表搞亂了。也許他們被下令不能拖時。。

演唱會加了變形超人﹐卻減去了五子偷細胞的橋段﹐讓沒去之前那場演唱會的朋友們看得一頭霧水。變形超人被雨淋濕﹐壞了。只能笨拙地動了動右手。失望。舞台背景也壞了。看不出是核細胞。

爛泥﹐汗水﹐掀不了屋頂(沒屋頂)﹐震不壞地板(沒地板﹐都是泥)。還沒如此狼狽地看過演唱會。但﹐是好玩的。散場後排隊洗腳時﹐看到有個腳背都是飛濺的泥巴。年輕真是沒顧慮啊! 哈哈哈!!

五子直呼太熱﹐應該﹐沒有露天的以後了。

SHINOBI - HEART UNDER BLADE

Gennosuke & Oboro

I watched this in parts over the weekdays so I could have missed some action.

Movie starts off with Gennosuke (Joe Odagiri) of the Kouga clan meditating at a waterfall, when Oboro (Nakama Yukie!!) of the Iga clan approaches the stream for a drink. Then it sparks off a forbidden romance as the Iga & Kouga clans, who produces extraordinary ninjas armed with powerful skills & techniques, do not see eye-to-eye with each other for the past hundreds of years.

The then-leaders of the Iga & Kouga clans were summoned in front of the ruler of Japan (Tokugawa Ieyasu) in a bid to see which clan is stronger and to be chosen to serve as bodyguard to the ruler. In the display of skills, both representatives were rather equally matched and Tokugawa requested the leaders to write down their 5 best ninjas for a duet the next day. Secretly, it was a plot to lure the strong ones out of the village while Tokugawa sends his troops in as he recognises the threat posed by these ninjas.

On their way back to their villages, the 2 leaders fought and were delivered back to the villages dead with the 5 names they had chosen. As the names were read in the presence of the dead leaders' bodies, Gennosuke and Oboro were nominated to be the next leaders for their respective clans and were among the 5 names that had to duel with each other. Thus despite their relationship, they were forced to accept the situation. While Gennosuke sets off to the grand palace to question the motive for the meaningless & brutal fight between the 2 clans with his contingent, they were intercepted by the Iga clan and the ninjas slowly fall to each other, leaving only Oboro and Gennosuke.

A lonely figure walking in the desert, Gennosuke notices Oboro in the distance, waiting for him. Oboro was not able to activate her Eyes of Destruction, which is able to incapacitate the opponent in a glance, probably due to her love for Gennosuke. She then pulls out her dagger and attempts to kill Gennosuke with it. Gennosuke, on the other hand, chooses not to defend himself with his ability to react and move at very high speed, letting Oboro stab him in the heart and allowing the Iga clan to win.

Gennosuke learnt of the motive behind Tokugawa's request from Tenzen, the undying parasite man of the Iga clan, and told Oboro of the army invading the villages before dying. Oboro, upon being the sole survivor of the duel between the 2 clans, requests an audition with Tokugawa and pleaded with him to save the villages. As a show of sincerity, she blinds herself with her fingers, destroying her Eyes of Destruction and eventually Tokugawa sends a message to the armies to stop the conquest.


Gennosuke

That's how the story plotted out. Aesthetically, its rather pleasing with all the beautiful nihon backdrop of forest, waterfalls, deserted temples, etc. Martial artistry, not much. Some skills are too exaggerated, whereas others, like Gennosuke's skill with the katana when moving at high speed slow-mo-ed, isn't action-packed enough. (He actually looks weak wielding the katana somehow..) Plot-wise, already summarised the whole show above, minus most of the supporting characters. Overall, ok. The typical lovers-forced-to-become-enemies plot.

I'll probably give it a 3 out of 5, thou Nakama Yukie's eyes are still mesmerizing as ever.

アンタッチャブル

Aired in the winters of 2009, Nakama Yukie plays Narumi Ryoko, who loses her job at "National Journal" (first rate publishing house) and due to rent repayment issues, had to settle for a job at a third rate publisher which does a scandalous tabloid called "Shukan Untouchable". Thou she mainly feeds on celebrity scandals and the likes, she hasn't lost her first rate journalist's values and does stand firm on them.

As she goes about investigating her news leads, she uncovers a dark, hidden truth beneath the surface and finds that things are not as simple as it is.

Sato Tomohito plays her cameraman sidekick, Takafuji Shinichi, who eventually falls for Ryoko's character midway through the show. Kaname Jun plays Toyama Shiro, Ryoko's self-proclaimed ex-boyfriend over at National Journal who left her bcos she was too inquisitive and suspected him of having an affair outside when he didn't. (Toyama did kind of deny their relationship somewhere..)

Both Takafuji and Toyama were being set up as suspects for the mastermind behind the various cases (scams, murders, etc) as the plot progresses.

The show is surprisingly interesting despite its low viewership ratings. (Yes, I did pick it up jus bcos its a Nakama Yukie show!) Just how did a normal journalism plot evolve into a full-fledged suspense/thriller dorama is out of my span of knowledge.

But, I LIKE! That's all that's important. HAHA~

Oh I forgot. Ryoko has a notebook (like those moleskins) she carries around which she calls it "The Grudge Book". She would write the names of those who she hates in the book and wraps it with the rubber band before striking it with the band. Cute!

Then I was disturbed.. COS I WAS BORN WHEN THEY GOT MARRIED!! So I popped over..

老爸子: 妳猜這個是誰?

我: nehh.. *points at mum..*

老爸子: 30年前的照片喔!

我: OII!! 我沒有30歲HORR!! =.="

Then my mum walks to the kitchen, I went to get my dinner..

老媽子: 我以前醬多人追﹐不懂排多長norr。干嘛跟個窮光蛋!? *repeats n times*

我: 誰叫你啦~ 誰叫你啦~

*Cos I'm the shotgun kid..*

Later, the mum starts suanning me..

老媽子: 妳啊。小時候笨笨的。坐在藤椅里沒東西玩也靜靜的﹐不會爬出來﹐憨憨的看阿嬤洗衣服。

我: 乖嘛。醬好養還hiam。

ごくせん シリ一ズ I, II, III

Fighto.. ON!

This is GOOD!! Season 1(2002, 17%) is kind of reminiscence of GTO decades back, but it soon clears any disillusions of it. Season 2(2005, 27%, Best Drama) is too similar to Season 1 so it got kind of boring at one point budden the guys make up for it. Season 3(2008, 22%) was hailed the commemorative program for Nihon TV's 55th anniversary.

The storyline wasnt bad but they seem to be reusing the sequence throughout, i.e. Yankumi either had some juicy dream with her crush, gets awaken by her subs cos its getting late for school, or chancing upon her crush while on the way to school, gets into some argument with Sawatari Head Teacher/Vice Principal, suddenly appears when her kids are having some discussion, kids get into some trouble, she gets a call and goes running, appears at the crime scene dramatically, gave a beating to all the guys who bullied her kids, then gives some lesson thingy to the kids, a bit of closing, end of episode.

Maybe bcos I watched all 3 seasons at one go..

But its definitely watchable, with Yankumi's antics, cheesy sound effects, some gags, some wah-she-so-powerful and a bit of tears.


Yankumi


Ojou

Yamaguchi Kumiko, nicknamed "Yankumi" by Noda in Season 1 and it stayed with all her students throughout, was orphaned at 7 and stayed with her grandpa, who is the 3rd generation head of the Oedo Clan. Everyone in the clan wishes for her to succeed the title as the 4th generation head but she does not have any interest to head a yakuza and prefers to be a high school maths teacher.

However, as fate have it, she was assigned to the delinquent class from the start of her teaching career and her idealistic nature threw her into loads of dangerous clashes with the students problems.

And she's been running in ALMOST EVERY EP!


Dorky

Nakama Yukie did a great portrayal of the manga Yankumi, so much that it looks the same! Dorky, unattactive in school, strong and fearless when protecting her students, the "commanding" Ojou at home, she is superb! Little doubts on her claiming the Best Actress for the Television Drama Academy Awards with ALL 3 SEASONS!

p.s. I actually rewatched her in MR. BRAIN. Simply top-class thou she is just guest starring in ep 5 & 6, playing the fake-multiple-personalities-syndrome-affected Kanako who is just a sophisticated revenger.

Hai Hai! Little (OK OK I'm old enuff..) BIG fan here from SG!!~

Everytime Yankumi goes chasing after her kids who got into trouble, she'll make a dramatic appearance when she arrives. Superhero appearance, no less! HAHA!

Makes me wonder 1) Why the glasses doesnt break with her throwing it on the floor and throwing guys all around next; 2) Why she can always find the unscratched glasses and hair bands after the fight? That's countless glasses she threw!!

and probably countless glasses she broke..


Then she'll be tossing her beautiful tresses (voted Most Beautiful Hair consecutively from 2007 to 2009) before and in-between fights.


And she does throw some mean punches! Often taking opponents much taller than her! (Her reported height is 160cm. I think she's probably shorter than that since everyone is towering over her.)


She defends Goda from Ogata. Yes. The other way round. Ogata was trying to revenge for Kazama who was in a coma after one of the clashes with Goda's crew.



Nakama Yukie is probably one of the rare Japanese actresses who can pass off a fight with great style and is comedic enough for some laughter, not forgetting that she has the distinctive beauty!! What a natural!

Only Kuma stayed throughout the series with his ramen store being a food treat for Yankumi and her students. Matsumoto Jun claimed the Best Supporting Actor for Shin's role.

And Ka-kun claimed the Best Supporting Actor for Odagiri's role as well!

The teacher of Momo High School (Girls school) which is opposite Kurogin Gakuen who saved Yankumi from an imminent roll down the stairs of the overhead bridge while she was day dreaming.


Koizumi Kotaro as Natsume Seichi (Season 3)

The school doctor for Akadou High School who works in Natsume Hospital that Yankumi bumps into while on the way to school. If his surname sounds familiar to u, YES, he is the eldest son of the former Japanese Prime Minister, Koizumi Junichiro!

Kaneko Ken as Asakura Tetsu

One of the junior member of the Oedo Clan who stays in the Yamaguchi house and is often seen showing his displeasure (with funny faces) when Yankumi is daydreaming about her crush in front of him or physically with the crush.

He's quite cute actually, without his moustache, which he kept due to some promise with Yankumi or something similar.


Sakata Tadashi as Kashiwagi Yutaka (Season 1)

The police officer that follows Shinohara around, has claimed that Yankumi is her type and is often trying to attract her attention.


Azuma Mikihisa as Baba Seiga (Season 2 onwards)

The P.E. teacher of Kurogin and ends up in Akadou as well, citing that its fate that he'll meet Yankumi again after Kurogin closed down. He, has also declared that Yankumi is her type and is always trying to attract her attention as well.


Others


Namase Katsuhisa as Sawatari Goro

The Head Teacher/Vice Principal who is always STUCK with Yankumi (Season 2 by mistake and in Season 3, he pleaded with her to join him at Akadou). He is at loggerheads with Yankumi though, as he does not agree with the way Yankumi deals with her students and having a teacher run wild WITH the delinquents("I saw the whole of 3D & Yamaguchi running out of school!" or "Bad News! 3D is not at their classroom! Yamaguchi is not around also!").

He always has a teacher next-in-line following him around boot-licking and he's nicknamed Saru (monkey) by all the 3Ds.


Sato Jiro as Yajima Hosaku

The "boot-licker" of Season 3 who also starred in 33pun Tantei. His expressions are quite funny.

All in all, this is a funny show no less, with a bit of tears at times. Probably just try to forget that u have seen the same plot earlier and it'll be definitely good.

Or just watch for the cute guys!! & Nakama Yukie's antics! HAHA!!
